Who’s Who in BANG BANG: Meet the Cast Bringing the Story to Life!

The cast of BANG BANG is a dynamic mix of storytellers, performers, and creatives who each bring something unique to the stage. From actors and dancers to poets and musicians, this group reflects the rich diversity of Namibia’s creative community.

Taking the stage from 08–10 April 2026 at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN), these nine performers come from different backgrounds and experiences, but they share one thing in common, a passion for performance and powerful storytelling. Together, they help bring BANG BANG to life.

The play explores themes of violence, childhood, and the social realities shaping young lives, presented through engaging performances designed especially for Grade 8 English Second Language learners, directed by Veronique Kuchekana-Chirau, professionally known as Berny Chirau.

 Brandon de Wet as Tristan

Brandon de Wet is a multifaceted creative with a background in theatre, music, and dance. He is especially passionate about acting and eager to explore a wide range of roles in theatre, film, and television.

Originally from Windhoek, Brandon currently works as a drama teacher at CrEd, formerly known as Helen O’Grady Drama Academy, where he helps nurture the next generation of young performers.

Lekenanda M. Eliakim (Be-Fresh) as Mother of Robert; Aunt 2, Beggar 2

With a Diploma in African Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Honours in Arts, Lekenanda M. Eliakim, also known as Be-Fresh, has cultivated a strong foundation in the performing arts.

She currently contributes to the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) as an usher and is active in the arts community as a volunteer in a creative agenda and activities group. In 2024 and 2025, she also served as a student assistant at the University of Namibia (UNAM).

Her long-term goal is to become a recognised choreographer and director, creating impactful performances that celebrate African heritage and contemporary narratives.

Uajorokisa “Uajo” Culenda as Saara

Uajorokisa Culenda, affectionately known as Uajo, is an 18-year-old student currently balancing homeschooling with classes at Rosewood College. She was born and raised in Windhoek, Namibia.

Her goal is to build a strong acting résumé through her involvement in Bang Bang while also working toward building her own personal brand. Outside of performing, she enjoys discovering new cafés and relaxing with a good movie or series.

Sandile M. Mondlane as Judge, Uncle, Guard, Beggar 1

Sandile M. Mondlane is a South African-born film and theatre actor based in Namibia. A former professional rugby player turned creative, his journey reflects discipline, reinvention, and a deep passion for storytelling.

He appeared in the TV drama Diepe Waters as JD Solomon and has played four lead roles in major short films. Sandile has also produced five theatre productions, including a dance production, and appeared in two films, including Oppi Plaas.

With a strong social media presence and a growing body of work, Sandile continues to establish himself as a dynamic creative voice in film and theatre across Southern Africa.

Otja Kooper as Psychiatrist; Rebecca; Tristan’s mother

Otja Kooper is a 23-year-old actor and model who has been in the industry for nearly a decade. She is passionate about acting and committed to bringing a director’s vision to life on screen and stage.

Otja starred in the Multichoice and NBC collaboration The Goal, part of the Mukorob project, as well as !Dhina Boys, both of which aired on DStv channels, including kykNET & Kie and on Showmax.

She has also appeared in advertising campaigns for brands such as Top Score Namibia, FNB Namibia, and Nam Diaries. Looking ahead, Otja hopes to be part of a project that connects the Namibian entertainment industry with international collaborators.

Michael Nakale as Robert

Michael Nakale is a stage artist steadily building his presence in the theatre scene. In 2025, he performed in the production Naked Spaces, adding to his growing performance portfolio.

He has also acted in Rondomtalie, a project directed by Nelson Brink. Outside of theatre, Michael works as a geoscientist, writes poetry, and practises boxing. He is also exploring opportunities in advertising and modelling while continuing to pursue his passion for performance.

Georgina Hatani Namises as Thandeka

Georgina Hatani Namises is a singer and first-year student at International Training College Lingua in Windhoek, Namibia. Born and raised in the city, she completed her secondary education in Windhoek and served on the Student Representative Council during her final year in 2024.

Georgina is an avid reader of fantasy novels and has a strong interest in poetry. Musically, she has been a choral vocalist with Robins Music Centre and currently performs with the Windhoek Namibia Youth Choir.

Albertina Musilika as Mother of Sarah, Aunt 1

Albertina Musilika is a Namibian creative passionate about storytelling and social impact. She began her theatre journey in 2019 in Bret Kamwi’s production of Three Sisters and has since expanded into filmmaking, developing projects that explore social issues and human experiences.

She holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Chartered) and is committed to using art as a tool for social change, creating stories that educate, challenge perspectives, and inspire meaningful dialogue within communities.

Naledi Kathleen Nakuta as Refilwe

Naledi Kathleen Nakuta is a final-year media student, journalist, and academic whose work bridges storytelling, performance, and social reflection. She is the author of the children’s book Fly, Ndili, Fly! published by the Goethe-Institut.

Her performance highlights include appearances at the Windhoek /Ae-//Gams Festival, Top Score’s Poetry in Motion, and several poetry slam stages. Naledi’s work often explores identity, healing, and young adulthood, and she hopes to deepen her theatre practice by using the stage as a space to reflect society and inspire dialogue.
