PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To lead the design, digital media and web content functions of the National Theatre of Namibia, supporting the Artistic Director’s creative vision and enhancing the institution’s digital presence, visual identity and stakeholder engagement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, Communications, Media Studies or related field
- 3 to 5 years proven experience in digital content creation, graphic design and website/digital platform management
- Demonstrable portfolio of professional design, multimedia work and digital campaigns
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creative & Design Support
- Lead the design and execution of digital and print materials including:
- Production posters and marketing artwork
- Reports, catalogues, programmes and brochures
- Project and event branding
- Stakeholder decks and presentations
- Develop digital assets that align with the Artistic Director’s creative vision and NTN institutional identity
- Maintain and enhance brand visual guidelines
- Digital Media & Content
Production
- Produce high-quality social media video and photography content for productions, rehearsals, engagements and institutional initiatives
- Edit video content for social platforms, campaigns and archival use
- Manage multimedia libraries and digital archives
- Support livestreaming, recording and digital media capture as required
- Website & Platform
Management
- Maintain NTN website: updates, content uploads, performance assets, event pages
- Optimise web structure, user journeys and accessibility
- Implement basic SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) practices and monitor analytics
- Digital Strategy & Social
Platform Management
- Execute digital content plans supporting Artistic Director’s office and programme initiatives
- Ensure alignment between design outputs and PR communications strategies
- Schedule content and monitor campaign performance metrics
- Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain asset archives, brand libraries, templates and design systems
- Manage digital equipment and software inventory
- Assist in monthly reports visuals, impact summaries and funder reporting visuals
- Support event documentation and branding requirements
- Work evening/weekend events when required
- Cross-Departmental
Collaboration
- Collaborate with PR Officer to ensure coherent external messaging
- Engage with creative teams, co-producers, community partners and creative collaborators
- Support special projects and institutional initiatives as directed by the Artistic Director
Procedure:
Candidates will be required to undergo a practical test in addition to an oral interview.
