Fledermaus was first produced on 5th April, 1874 at the Theatre an der Wien, Viena, with Jani Szika, Marie Geistinger and Karoline Charles-Hirsch.

The director is Heidemarie Rappmund and the conductor is Mathilda Hornsveld.  Principal singers and actor will be Aubrey Lodewyk, Gretel Coetzee, Ilze Coetzee, Matthew Overmeyer, Teresa de Wit and Aldo Behrens.  Smaller parts will be sung by Mkhanyiseli Mlombi, Pieter Niemann, Tanya Retief and Sedney Haufiku.  A Namibian chorus will complement the operetta.
