The Youth Theatre Development Project (YTDP) is a regional theatre development project of the National Theatre of Namibia targeting unemployed youth in the regions, particularly the rural areas.

 The Youth Theatre Development Project (YTDP) is a regional theatre development project of the National The National Theatre of Namibia's Youth Theatre Development Officers assist the communities in establishing theatre groups and offer training in various areas of theatre such as:  acting skills, Scriptwriting, Directing-Production, Stage Setting, Costume Design and Marketing.

This initiative affords the unemployed youth in the regions to create job opportunities through theatre (community/popular theatre) and contribute towards the social upliftment of their communities.

This project is currently funded by Brot für die Welt.
